It is is the first PS2 emulator that slowly showed us that PS2 emulation is possible. Today it has a large game compatibility that keeps growing with each new version. For a full compatibility list you may want to check the official site before trying to play a game.
The advantage compared to the PS2 console:

- Download PCSX2 above was
- Install PCSX2
- Download PS2 BIOS (under later), and then extract it in C: \ Users \ [computer name] \ Documents \ PCSX2 \ bios
- Configuring PCSX2 here
- Insert PS2 game ISO or ISO for PS2 games from the game disc with a program like ImgBurn to more quickly read by the emulator
